Course Introduction:
The purpose of this course is to afford delegates the opportunity to develop labour relations management competencies which will be based on the requirements for the effective management of labour relations in organisational context.
This programme is aimed at supervisors, lower and middle management staff and those employees who need to acquire basic knowledge and skills on Industrial Relations within the workplace environment.
Training Outcomes:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- work as an Advocate in managing a communication Crisis
- improve their interpersonal and influencing skills
- use the acquired knowledge to develop important labour relations management skills
- deal with a variety of situations using effective communication, assertive techniques and understanding of management applications
- have a practical understanding of the legislation
- manage aggression
- know their rights in bargaining over wages, working hours and conditions of service
- analyse problems facing their organisation and develop strategic plans to tackle them
- participate effectively in mediation, negotiation and settlement discussions
- identify and deal with behaviours which trigger and escalate conflict
- create an effective communications Strategy and Plan
